We would like to inform you of an important update regarding French customs regulations affecting EMS Premium shipments to France.

To ensure smooth customs clearance and successful delivery, prior action may be required from the recipient, so please review the details carefully.

■ Applicable

All customers shipping EMS Premium (EMSP) packages to France

※ Please note that this regulation may also apply to other shipping options such as UPS, not only EMS Premium.

■ Details of the Change

Due to a policy update by the French Customs Authority (DGDDI), recipients in France are now required to obtain a new customs identification number (EORI).

(Before): Based on SIRET (14-digit ID)

(After): Only EORI numbers based on SIREN (9-digit ID) are accepted

■ Effective Date: January 1, 2026 (Thursday)

If this requirement is not met, customs clearance delays or return shipments may occur.

Please ensure that the recipient in France has a valid EORI number issued in advance.
